Mirallas Misses Multiple Matches

Mirallas suffered a minor injury during the opening fixture, which Everton won 2-1 at Goodison Park. He was held out of the March 15 Premier League clash with the Magpies as a precaution, according to manager Roberto Martinez:

Though it may have been for precaution, he also missed matches against Dynamo Kiev on March 19 and QPR on March 22.

Mirallas is enjoying another fine season for Everton, scoring nine goals and adding two assists across all competitions, according to WhoScored.com.

Everton have endured a nightmare season on the domestic front and can no longer finish near the top of the Premier League standings, so prioritising the Europa League makes sense at this point of the campaign.
