NFL Draft 2015: Projected 1st-Round Selection Order for Elite Prospects
Through two-and-a-half days of the free-agency period, we've seen some wild trades, blockbuster signings and even a couple unexpected retirements. Rest assured, every single one of those actions will have an impact on the impending NFL draft.
Acquiring veterans via free agency can sometimes be quite a gamble, as lucrative contracts sometimes don't pan out due to a player's inability to schematically fit with his new team. In fact, we saw one big example of that recently when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers released defensive end Michael Johnson, via NFL.com's Chris Wesseling, after signing a huge deal just one year ago.
That said, many franchises elect to stand pat during the free-agency period—or at least refrain from dishing out any megadeals—keeping their focus on prospect workouts and aiming to improve mainly through the draft. Here's a look at how every first-round team is likely to upgrade its roster on April 30.

Analyzing Recent Notable Pro Days
Due to a frenzied start to free agency, pro days have been sent to the back burner. While these offseason workouts don't come with the same kind of hype as the scouting combine, they are still enormously important to the draft process, as teams continue to assess players and adjust big boards accordingly.
In case the continued process of NFL veterans changing hands has you a little behind on these workouts, let's take a glance at some notable prospects who recently took part in their respective pro days.
2. Tennessee Titans: Leonard Williams, DT, USC
The 6'5", 302-pound Leonard Williams stood on his workout numbers from the combine, but he did participate in positional drills with Titans defensive line coach Griff Smith during his pro day. According to Bryan Fischer of NFL.com, Tennessee had a large contingent of personnel at the workout, and it didn't leave disappointed in the defensive tackle's performance.
Williams fills a giant need on the Titans defensive line, and based on his solid combine showing and a reportedly good pro-day workout, it appears highly likely he'll be the draft's No. 2 overall selection.
10. St. Louis Rams: Amari Cooper, WR, Alabama

The Rams acquired quarterback Nick Foles in a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles, and now it's time to surround him with weapons. Alabama's Amari Cooper is widely heralded as a very polished wide receiver who should not have difficulty adjusting to playing in the NFL.
Cooper already had a solid combine performance, and he stood on most of his numbers—he did record a 34" vertical jump at his pro day, according to NFL.com's Gil Brandt. The receiver showcased his great hands during positional drills, reassuring every team in attendance of his reliability as a pass-catcher.
16. Houston Texans: Landon Collins, S, Alabama

The defensive secondary was a bit of a weakness for the Texans in 2014, and shoring up the safety position will go a long way in addressing that issue. Safety Landon Collins is at the top of his positional group in this year's draft class, and his 16 reps on the bench press and solid positional drills during Alabama's pro day should help his case as a top-20 pick.
30. Green Bay Packers: Eric Kendricks, ILB, UCLA

Linebacker A.J. Hawk is now a member of the Cincinnati Bengals, and the Packers will presumably look for his replacement in this year's draft. One prospect who may garner some interest from the team is athletic UCLA linebacker Eric Kendricks.
Despite an ongoing hamstring issue, Kendricks still performed at the Bruins' pro day, running a 4.17-second 20-yard shuttle and 7.16-second three-cone drill while ripping off 22 reps on the bench press, according to Brandt. With a nose for the ball and more explosiveness than he's given credit for, Kendricks has the talent to bolster the interior of Green Bay's linebacker corps.
31. New Orleans Saints: Dorial Green-Beckham, WR, Oklahoma
Following a trade that sent tight end Jimmy Graham to the Seattle Seahawks, the Saints now have two first-round picks. Due to the team's sudden need for a large target in the passing game, 6'5" Oklahoma wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham could be a solid option at No. 31 overall.
According to Bucky Brooks of NFL.com, Green-Beckham continued to bolster his draft stock by showing excellent hands and great leaping ability during his pro-day workout. With a huge catch radius and plenty of athleticism, Green-Beckham has the necessary skill set to become a dangerous No. 1 receiver in the NFL.
