2009 NFL SUPER BOWL POWER RANKINGS & ODDS

As we inch closer to the start of another NFL season let’s take a look at the top 10 teams who should dominate while getting a shot at winning the Lombardi Trophy. 

1.  New England Patriots - Most see the the Pittsburgh Steelers as the heavy favorites heading into the 2009 season, but I doubt we will see another Steeler repeat like the 1975/1976 season.  It’s getting much more difficult to repeat a Super Bowl championship in the NFL.  The Patriots have all the weapons to help win it this year including getting the X – factor Tom Brady back on the field.   +275 at Lines2Bet

2.  San Diego Chargers - Most peg the up tempo “Super Chargers” somewhere in the middle of the top 10, but with an easy schedule,  a sensational running back that’s out to prove he still has the goods and head splitter Shawn Merriman back in the mix look out!  +500 at Lines2Bet

3.  Pittsburgh Steelers - No doubt the Steelers will get a lot of wins this year, BUT can they repeat?  Its possible and that’s why we listed the Steelers number three.    James Harrison and LaMarr Woodley are big D studs that can bring the heat to match a solid offense that should see a whole lot of Willie Parker and company.  +700 at Lines2Bet 

4.  New York Giants - Actually, the Giants defense could be stronger this year, but the big question is what happens now without WR Plexico Burress and speedster D. 7.  Philadelphia Eagles - It won’t happen fast or easy like the Eagles run for Super Bowl XXXIX because this years team has already been decimated by injuries.  In a nut shell, the Philadephia Eagles have wild potential.  The team with the best overall offseason needs to get a little lucky putting back some important pieces which might help them make a late drive for the big show.  +650 at Lines2Bet

8.  Tennessee Titans - The Tennessee Titans are moving in the right direction and could have enough to win it all this year.  The Titans have made even more upgrades on the offensive side of the ball, but losing DT Albert Haynesworth to free agency might come back to bite them.  Running backs Chris Johnson and LenDale White are a nice 1-2 running punch that will keep games close meaning the defense will be an important key this year.  +1500 at Lines2Bet

9.  Arizona Cardinals - Everyone knows they have the best wide receiving tandem in the NFL, but will it be enough for a repeat for a ring this year?  The team should have a bit more balance with an improved run game drafting Wells from Ohio State and emergence of Tim Hightower, but they can not afford to give up to many points in any game and Warner needs another amazing year to get it done.  +1700 at Lines2Bet

10.  Indianapolis Colts - The AFC South is getting tougher can Peyton Manning continue to impress?  Only time will tell, but it isin’t getting any easier for the Colts.     They still have a solid core in place that can score, but they need an honest effort from the defense and special teams.  +900 at Lines2bet
