Chris Jericho: The Best in the World?

Now I'm sitting here watching an older DVD that I own.

The match happens to be Chris Jericho vs. Steve Austin. It also happens to be the night that he won the Undisputed World Championship.

I am watching this and I'm thinking..."Wow, Chris Jericho is freaking awesome!"

When he is a heel, he will make you hate him, but when he is a face, there is none better then Jericho, with his cheap pops and quick one liners.

Who can forget him saying to Stephanie McMahon: "Who let the boobies hit the floor?" 

When he is in the ring, he can make the worst wrestler look good. There is only a few guys that go out there and make people look really good when they are in fact not.

People like Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Edge, The Undertaker, and Chris Jericho don't come around too often. Just look at any of their matches with John Cena. They can make him look good...well...decent.

The championships that he has won inside and outside of the WWE stand alone. A 22-time champion in the WWE and nine-time champion  outside.  

PWI ranked him #2 of the 500 best singles wrestlers in the PWI 500 this year.

He was the Wrestler of the Year in 2008 by Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

He has had some of the best matches you'll ever seen with guys like Eddie Guerrero, Último Dragón, Rey Mysterio, Juventud Guerrera, Dean Malenko, Chris Benoit, Kurt Angle, The Rock, Steve Austin, and Shawn Michaels.

I wonder what is next for the first Undisputed World Champion?

I'm waiting for what I hope to be a great match with Edge (who should be back by the Royal Rumble) at this years Wrestlemania.

Jericho is a guy that doesn't have to wear the strap for people to know he is the best. Just watch his matches and at the end when he is walking back up the ramp.

Everyone is on their feet applauding. He doesn't have to win the match cause thats not what its about.

Its about the show, and right now there is no one better.
