Jon Beason, Giants Agree to Restructure Contract: Latest Details, Comments
The New York Giants will welcome back linebacker Jon Beason in 2015 after he agreed to restructure his contract Monday, according to Fox Sports 1's Mike Garafolo:
NJ.com's Jordan Raanan has the details on Beason's new contract, stating that the three-time Pro Bowler's salary will be $3.7 million in 2015—down from the $5.825 million he was slated to make. Incentives are available for him to make even more money.

Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News alluded to what Beason would have cost under his old deal:
Art Stapleton of The Record reported what Beason had to say earlier in the month about his desire to remain with the G-Men:
Beason played well in 12 games for New York after the Carolina Panthers traded him in 2013. Injury problems then plagued Beason, limiting him to just four games this last year. This decreased any leverage he had to stay in the Big Apple under a rather exorbitant salary.
The Giants' front seven struggled, ranking 30th versus the run. If Beason can stay healthy, he figures to help New York immensely in that area. Given that he played just five total games in 2011 and 2012, though, he has to prove he can stay on the field to be a reliable asset for the defense.
