Frank Gore to Colts: Latest Contract Details, Comments and Reaction
Frank Gore had a bit of a wild ride before free agency even began, as rumors linked him to multiple teams. But in the end, the veteran running back decided to sign with the Indianapolis Colts, according to the team.
Drew Rosenhaus told Pro Football Talk that Gore signed a deal worth $12 million over three years with $7.5 million guaranteed and $8.5 million paid in the first two years.
Rumors suggested that Gore was going to sign with the Philadelphia Eagles, per Schefter and Adam Caplan of ESPN. But on Monday evening, Ian Rapoport of NFL.com reported that the deal with the Eagles was falling through and that the Colts were potential suitors.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
It isn't hard to see why multiple teams were interested. Despite the fact that Gore will be 32 in May, he still rushed for 1,106 yards and four touchdowns last season—his fourth straight year eclipsing 1,000 rushing yards and the eighth time he's done so in his 10-year career.
While Gore's days as a five-time Pro Bowler are probably behind him, he's proved to be one of the rare running backs who hasn't hit a major wall or declined past the age of 30. While he isn't the elite option he once was at the position, Indianapolis certainly believes he has at least another season or two left in the tank.
Based on the various injuries he's overcome in his career and his ability to remain relevant long after most running backs run out of steam, the Colts' decision to push their chips toward Gore seems like a pretty safe bet.
