Weatherspoon Reportedly to Sign with Cardinals

The Cardinals are prepared to give Weatherspoon a one-year contract, just below $4 million, according to Rand Getlin of Yahoo Sports.
Earlier, Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com reported that a two-year deal was possible for the veteran linebacker.
Weatherspoon Not Expected Back with Falcons

Weatherspoon missed the entire 2014 season with a torn Achilles, and it was quite clear that Atlanta's defense struggled without him on the field.
There were high hopes for the former Mizzou standout to return in 2015 and make an impact, but NFL Network's Ian Rapoport is reporting that the chances of Weatherspoon returning to the Falcons are slim:
Weatherspoon has often shown signs of becoming an elite linebacker, especially in 2011 when he racked up 115 tackles and four sacks.
As pointed out by Michael Kelly of WJXT, however, durability issues have prevented Weatherspoon from truly establishing himself:
