Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Paul stepped in for the oft-injured Jordan Reed as the team's starting tight end throughout the 2014 season and finished with 39 receptions for 507 yards and a touchdown. Coming into the year, Paul had just 14 receptions for 228 yards and a touchdown in his three previous seasons in the NFL.
While Paul isn't going to make anybody forget about Rob , Jimmy Graham or Julius Thomas anytime soon, he's a nice option in the passing game and a player who proved he could produce if given a larger role in an offense. While he likely won't be Washington's go-to guy— Jackson, Pierre and a healthy Reed will be above him on the pecking order—he's a solid option who has proved he has the potential to get even better.
Remember, Paul entered the league as a wide receiver and made the transition to tight end. In 2014, it appeared he really came into his own at the position. Washington will be hoping he continues to grow and remains a solid tight end for many seasons to come.
