Arsenal Transfer News: Alvaro Morata, Kevin-Prince Boateng Bid Rumours Emerge

Rob BlanchetteMar 4, 2015

Arsenal's transfer business will swing into action at the end of the campaign, with reports suggesting the Gunners will capture Alvaro Morata and Kevin-Prince Boateng.

Jamie Sanderson of Metro says Morata is firmly on Arsene Wenger's radar, with the French coach prepared to gazump Liverpool in the race for the highly respected Juventus youngster.

Sanderson also says Real Madrid have a buyback option to bring Morata back to the Spanish capital, but Arsenal hope to supersede the appeal of the Galacticos with a "huge offer."

The 22-year-old Spaniard has spent most of the campaign on the bench but has shone for the Old Lady when he has appeared on the pitch.

Currently, he has seven goals from his 26 Serie A and Champions League appearances, per WhoScored.com, but the striker has started on only 10 occasions.

Despite the Gunners' expected move, Madrid legend Michel believes Los Blancos should not waste any time and should exercise their buyback clause immediately.

Football Italia cites the legendary former player speaking to GianlucaDiMarzio.com about his national compatriot as he urged Madrid supremo Florentino Perez to waste no time:

"

He is a great lad and has been doing some magnificent things. He was not afraid to leave Real Madrid to take on a challenge as ambitious and demanding as playing for Juventus. He’s still playing at a top level and that makes me proud.

Morata started this year as understudy to Fernando Llorente, but now he’s on the same level. He made the difference against Borussia [Dortmund in the Champions League], and I hope he goes on to be a success. If I were Florentino Perez and the decision was up to me I’d get him back for good.

"

In a separate report, Sanderson says outlets believe Wenger will move for Schalke midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng.

The 27-year-old has just 18 months left on his current deal, and a move away looks likely for the Ghana international.

Sanderson says Arsenal will offer £10 million for Boateng's services in an attempt to bring the former Tottenham Hotspur player back to north London.

Morata would be an excellent acquisition by Wenger, as the player has an extraordinary amount of potential and talent.

Juve were smart in their purchase of the player, and young stars appear to blossom with the Italian champions.

Danny Welbeck has not become the central fulcrum since his transfer from Manchester United, and Wenger will want a true predator to rotate with Olivier Giroud.

The creative options in Arsenal's midfield will mean Morata is well fed, and he could become one of the Premier League's top strikers in little time.
