Prosecutors Have Motion Denied

Wednesday, March 4

Dan Wetzel of Yahoo Sports reported that the prosecution's motion was denied by the judge in the case.

Prosecution Look to Mention February 2013 Shooting Allegations

Tuesday, March 3

In an effort to discredit Hernandez's defense team's assertion that the former New England Patriots tight end wouldn't hurt a friend, the prosecution in the Odin Lloyd murder trial is hoping to receive clearance to make mention of Hernandez allegedly doing just that in an incident independent from Lloyd's death.

Hernandez is charged with killing Lloyd in June 2013.

According to the Associated Press (h/t NFL.com), the prosecution has asked for permission to tell the jurors about a February 2013 incident in which it is alleged Hernandez shot his friend, Alexander Bradley, in the face after a night out at a Florida club.

Kim Tunnicliffe of WBZ NewsRadio 1030 in Boston provided details of the allegations:

Per Brian Steele of MassLive.com, prosecutors revealed in a motion that they believe the information is relevant due to the stance the defense has taken in the Lloyd trial.

"The defendant is by no means someone who would necessarily refrain from resorting to extreme violence—including homicidal violence—merely because the victim was a friend," the motion reads.

It is unclear if the prosecution's motion will be granted since Hernandez has not been found guilty of anything in the Bradley case.
