Lance Moore Released by Steelers: Latest Details, Comments and Reaction
According to Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the Pittsburgh Steelers cut veteran wide receiver Lance Moore on Monday.
Moore signed a two-year deal with the Steelers last offseason. His only year in Pittsburgh was a bit of a disappointment after he had just 14 receptions for 198 yards and a touchdown.
"It didn't go the way I'd hoped it would go, but that's life in the NFL sometimes," he said in January after the Steelers lost in the AFC Wild Card Round, per ESPN.com's Scott Brown. "It's unfortunate that it unfolded the way that it did, but I enjoyed my time here this season."

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
ESPN's Adam Schefter and Brown reported earlier in the month that Moore was attempting to get out of Pittsburgh in hopes of finding more playing time with another organization.
Bob Labriola of Steelers.com noted that Moore struggled to build a strong rapport with quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, which obviously hurt how much he'd be involved in the offense:
Moore has played nine seasons in the NFL, catching 360 passes for 4,479 yards and 40 touchdowns. He'll be 32 years old when the regular season gets underway, so it's not like he's completely past his prime as a player.
Repeating his glory days with the New Orleans Saints might be hard to do, but Moore would add a veteran presence and a reliable pair of hands to any team's passing game.
