Mark Cuban to Play President of the United States in 'Sharknado 3'
In a fitting instance of #brand synergy, Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban will reportedly play the President of the United States in Sharknado 3.
The Dallas Morning News reports that the Shark Tank panelist will fill the role alongside political commentator and author Ann Coulter, who is slated to play his vice president.
"They asked if I wanted to play the part," Cuban told The Dallas Morning News. "I have been a fan of the movies. It was an easy decision."
For those of you keeping track at home, Cuban's addition to the cast marks the second character from the sports(ish) industry to hop aboard Sharknado 3.
Former pro wrestler Chris Jericho posted pictures from the set in late February. Jericho will play a ride attendant, and judging by the images, his role will primarily include wearing a red shirt and being concerned for Tara Reid.
As for Cuban, why not put the man in charge of the country?
A nation terrorized by shark-ridden natural disasters needs a creative and decisive mind at the highest position of leadership. If anyone can figure out how to rid America of its shark-tornado menace and turn a profit, it's the Cube.
Dan is on Twitter. He'd vote for Mark Cuban every time.
