Langford Agrees to Terms With Indy
Tuesday, March 10
The Colts announced they have agreed to terms on a deal with Langford, via their official website.
On March 8, the New Orleans Saints conducted a visit with Langford, confirmed ESPN's Nick Wagoner. The Colts were Langford's next stop after also meeting with the New York Jets and Detroit Lions, per Wagoner.
Langford had also scheduled a visit with the Denver Broncos, per Mike Klis of the Denver Post.
MLive.com's Justin Rogers noted on March 4 how Langford could be had at quite a bargain:
Langford was let go by the Rams due to their surplus of star power in the trenches; however, even former teammate Chris Long hinted that Langford would succeed in his new NFL home:
"Gonna miss @KendallLangford as a teammate but he's not going anywhere because he's still like my brother. Gonna make another team real happy
— Chris Long (@JOEL9ONE) February 26, 2015"
Though Langford's individual impact may not compare to that of some of the top defensive linemen around the league, he's entering a promising situation on a team that just made the playoffs.
The Colts continue to try to build around Andrew Luck by fortifying both sides of the ball, and Langford's addition is evident of that.
