Keith Yandle to Rangers: Latest Trade Details, Comments and Reaction
The New York Rangers have been one of the NHL's hottest teams in recent weeks, going 8-1-1 over their last 10 games. That isn't stopping general manager Glen Sather from improving the roster with Monday's NHL trade deadline looming.
According to Sportsnet's Nick Kypreos, the Rangers swung a deal Sunday with the Arizona Coyotes to acquire two-time All-Star defenseman Keith Yandle.
TSN's Darren Dreger and ESPN's Katie Strang provided some extra details:

Alain Vigneault's squad is third in the NHL in goals per game, and this gives it an added offensive punch. Yandle has tallied 41 points (four goals, 37 assists) for the Coyotes this season, ranking in the top 10 in the league among defensemen.
Sportsnet's Damien Cox offered his thoughts on the trade:
Even if Yandle has his drawbacks, his presence makes the Rangers even more dangerous.
Not only does this make New York a stronger Stanley Cup contender, but it's also more than just a half-season rental. The 28-year-old is under contract through the 2015-16 season, and with Arizona paying half his salary, he comes cheap.
For Arizona, it's all about the future. Anthony Duclair is a promising 19-year-old wing, while the extra first-round pick should help the Coyotes with their current rebuilding process.
It's a steep price to pay for the Rangers, but with the window for a Stanley Cup open, they opted to be aggressive. We'll see if it pays off in June.
