Yankees Need To Look at Adam Dunn Of The Nats

Seeing how bad the Yankees were off a horrible pitcher in Brett Tomko on Monday, they need to take a long look at a power bat. I know they are 74-45 and lead the American League East and they have Tex, A-Rod (double play-Rod), and Jeter but they still could not hit Brett Tomko. The Yankees were built for this very reason, to hurt the bad pitching and to score at least one or two off an ace of a team's staff.

The Yankees should claim Adam Dunn of the Na's off waivers and eat his $12 million. Adam Dunn will be a huge power hitter and a great DH now that Godzilla is out. Adam Dunn is hitting .285 with 31 home runs and 86 RBI's and he is a lefty bat. Adam Dunn may strikeout a whole lot but he walks a lot and when he hits the ball it goes a long, long way.

The Yankees say they aren't taking on a lot of payroll, but come on, this team is hit and miss with bad pitching. They can't hit pitchers that they have not seen and heck they lost to Brett Tomko. Yes, I said, "They lost to Brett Tomko," of all pitchers. The Yankees may need a fifth starter, but seeing how bad they are when it comes to pitchers they have not seen, or pitchers with an over five ERA, they cant hit their way out of a paper bag.

Look at the bad pitching the Yankees have faced this year and had trouble hitting: Nat's pitching and they lost two of three, and should have been swept. Brett Tomko, and they were shut out. Cliff Lee in the beginning of the season where he had over a five ERA and they lost, and so on.

The Yankees need Adam Dunn to jump start a hitting team that cant hit bad pitching or first timers. If the Yankees can't beat up on Brett Tomko, what shot do they have in the postseason or the World series?

Like I said they may have Tex, Jeter, double play-Rod, Damon, Jorge, and Cano, but they still need another power bat that will help them jump start a team that can't hit bad pitching. So Cashman, go out claim Adam Dunn, put him behind double play-Rod, and off we go... and just hope for the best.
