Some thoughts about the Year.....

This is Matthew Horn, and my First posting on SpartyMSU.. more postings to come on Spartan Sports and other topics: NHL, NBA, NFL, MSU..and more MSU...
But for now.. some thoughts on the year...
There might not be a player in college football that will be more difficult to replace than Michigan State's Javon Ringer.
Ringer was responsible for a huge share of the Spartans' rushing offense and his production will be sorely missed. Six or seven backs are in the mix to fill roles in the backfield this season.
Another position to be sorted out is quarterback, where Kirk Cousins and Keith Nichol are competing for the starting job.
Nichol gave Sam Bradford a run for the starting job at Oklahoma and Bradford won the Heisman last year. Maybe Nichol can be the next Jevan Snead.

Snead and Colt McCoy fought for the quarterback role at Texas after Vince Young left before Snead transferred to Mississippi. Snead and the Rebels are ranked in the preseason top 10 of most polls right now.

MSU's Greg Jones leaves very little to question, unless it's an opponent wondering where he is after a hit. Jones might very well be the best linebacker in the Big Ten, and that includes Penn State's Navorro Bowman.
Give us your opinions on the players matchups and season...
