Watch: Destination America
Lashley vs. MVP for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship
Last week’s Impact Wrestling featured a 20-man Gauntlet match to crown the No. 1 contender, and MVP was the last man standing. Kurt Angle put up a valiant effort, but The Beat Down Clan ensured one of their own was fighting for the title.
MVP and Lashley worked together for several months. As the champion’s mouthpiece, MVP was one of the reasons the booking of Lashley as a top heel was so effective in 2014. The two men now square off for the most valuable prize in the company.
Question on Everybody's Mind: Who Walks out Friday Night as Champion?
Lashley is one of the most dominant heel champions in TNA history, but his run as a top face hasn’t been as convincing. The champion is still entertaining, but he has not been as effective as the top face in the company.
MVP is one of the best talkers in the wrestling business, and he has the skill in the ring to back up what he says each week. With several top faces in the main event scene like Kurt Angle and Bobby Roode, Lashley dropping the belt to MVP with the help of The BDC would make sense moving forward.
Hype Meter: 4 out of 5 Potential World Title Changes
The possibility that the TNA World Heavyweight Championship could change hands Friday night should have all wrestling fans excited for this week’s episode of Impact Wrestling.
History could be made this week.
Lashley has been great during his recent runs as champion, but it’s time to infuse new blood into the title scene. With both Roode and Kurt Angle having problems with MVP in the past, now is the right time to put the belt on the mouthpiece of The Beat Down Clan.

Drew Galloway, Samoa Joe vs. Austin Aries and More
One of the biggest pieces of news from last week was the debut of former WWE Superstar Drew Galloway (formerly Drew McIntyre). He came through the crowd during the final segment of the night and ran off The Beat Down Clan.
Galloway has been one of the most underutilized wrestlers over the last several years, but he looks to be taking on a huge role with TNA. He will likely enter the title scene eventually, and MVP as a heel champion would be a worthy opponent.
What Galloway does next is anyone’s guess, though.
Question on Everybody's Mind: Why Did Samoa Joe Leave TNA?
As Samoa Joe reported himself, the TNA legend has agreed to part ways with Impact Wrestling, but he still has several taped television appearances. Friday’s episode will feature one of Joe’s final matches with the company against longtime foe Austin Aries.
Aries and Samoa Joe have always had great chemistry and understand how to put on an entertaining show in the ring. Hardcore TNA fans were devastated by the news that Samoa Joe left the company, and watching him fight Aries in what should be a great match this week will be a bittersweet moment.
Hype Meter: 4 out of 5 Mickie James Slaps
Secondary storylines have been a priority for TNA since the move to Destination America, and one of the most enjoyable thus far has been the rivalry between Magnus and Bram. With the inclusion of Mickie James last week, this angle is only getting better with each new episode of Impact.
Magnus is one of the brightest stars in the wrestling industry, and his run as the company’s champion was successful. To get back to that level, Magnus needs to put on a great show as the babyface against Bram. This feud is a major opportunity for both Magnus and Bram.
