UFC Fight Night 61 Medical Suspensions: Antonio Silva Shelved for 2 Months
Heavyweight Antonio Silva tops the list of medical suspensions arising from UFC Fight Night 61 in Brazil.
The Comissao Atletica Brasileira de MMA (CABMMA) announced the suspensions Monday, and they were subsequently reported by MMAJunkie.com.
Silva will be sidelined for 60 days following the loss, which came in Sunday night's main event against Frank Mir. The KO stoppage came after a left hook and a series of ground strikes from Mir. The contest ended in just 100 seconds. Mir himself was suspended only 14 days.

Both of the fighters in the evening's co-main event, lightweights Edson Barboza and Michael Johnson, were suspended for 45 days. Johnson won the fight by unanimous decision.
Welterweight William Patolino, who was knocked out in the undercard via a Superman punch from Matt Dwyer, also will miss 60 days of action.
Welterweight Sean Strickland, in his welterweight debut, was suspended 45 days, as was opponent Santiago Ponzinibbio. Ponzinibbio won that fight by decision.
