The Official Home of the Calgary Flames on radio, the Fan 960, went so far as to call themselves the Official Home of the Carolina Hurricanes.  Couldn't have anything to do with on-personality Rob Kerr's love of the song Brass Bonanza. 

4). Wayne Gretzky breaks Gordie Howe's Career All-Time Points Record against the Oilers. Where you would have been if you didn't sell him to L.A.

3). Gretzky's Kings beat Gretzky-less Oilers in the 1989 Quarter-Finals.  The same year the Flames won their only Stanley Cup Championship.

1) STEVE SMITH

There is no moment in Calgary Flames history that is more beloved then this one.  Not Lanny against the Canadiens, Lanny getting 1,000 points or 500 goals, or any of the Martin Gelinas series-clinching goals in 2004.  Not even Theo Fleury in 1991.  This is the best.  Nice dump in Perry Berezan.
