Miz, Curtis Axel, Ryback Enter WrestleMania 31's Andre the Giant Battle Royal

WWE announced the first three combatants who will grapple in the second annual Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 31, per John Clapp of WWE.com. The Miz, Ryback and Curtis Axel are locked in, with more superstars to follow as the massive pay-per-view draws near.

For Axel, getting into the match represented the culmination of his efforts get onto the WrestleMania card. He even donned an "Axelmania" T-shirt on Monday's Raw:

Perhaps Axel will even manage to win. He'll certainly have some stiff competition standing in his way.

Cesaro won the first edition of the Battle Royal at WrestleMania 30, depositing the Big Show out onto the floor to earn his victory.

Since he's one-half of the current tag team champions, it's unlikely that Cesaro will be taking part this year.

While last year's match wasn't an instant classic, it was perfect for what it was and allowed some of the midcard guys who would've otherwise not been on WrestleMania at all to have their moment. This year should be more of the same.
