On Feb. 16, Allen was detained by police after a 16-year-old girl accused him of indecent exposure. He was released later that day and not charged with anything, but the investigation remained ongoing.
Allen, 27, remained adamant about his innocence in an interview with NBC-2 in Fort Myers:
"To be accused of something as disgusting as this—as repulsive as this—I have a 17-year-old sister, I have a niece. I'm still shocked right now that I'm sitting here, having to discuss something like this because it's absolutely disgusting.
"
With this news, Allen's name is now cleared and he can return to concentrating on football. After five seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles, the former second-round pick is set to enter free agency in early March.
Although he has been inconsistent, he recorded 62 combined tackles, four interceptions and three fumble recoveries in 2014. He should have no trouble finding a job somewhere.
