Quarterback Battles Update

Sage Rosenfels vs. Tarvaris Jackson
Rosenfels looks to have the early lead on Jackson in the Vikings quarterback battle. After a great end to last season, Jackson has struggled. On the other hand, after a poor 2008 campaign for Rosenfels he has shined.
Rosenfels completed 10 of 13 passes against the Colts, while Jackson played with the back ups and did much worse. Jackson will have a chance to start against Kansas City.

Mark Sanchez vs. Kellen Clemens
Thus far in training camp, Mark Sanchez has looked much better than Kellen Clemens. Clemens will start the Jets first preseason game against the Rams, while Sanchez will start against the Ravens next week.
Shaun Hill vs. Alex Smith
Shaun Hill looks to have the early lead over Alex Smith to be the 49ers starting quarterback. Mike Singletary told reporters that Hill is less of a mystery than Smith. Smith started last season as the 49ers starting quarterback, but was placed on IR before week one.Luke McCown vs. Byron Leftwitch vs. Josh Freeman
It seems unlikely that Josh Freeman will win this battle. Right now Byron Leftwitch and Luke McCown are battling it out to be the Buccaneers week one starter. Who knows who will win. Leftwich is the better passer, but McCown knows the system more.Brady Quinn vs. Derek Anderson
Brady Quinn has looked bad, Derek Anderson has looked worse. My guess is the Browns will go with Quinn, but you never know what Eric Mangini is going to do. Quinn also gets paid more and is younger.Matthew Stafford vs. Daunte Culpepper

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Culpepper was expected to get this job by default, but with Stafford's good play in the Lions first preseason game, the Lions might reconsider. Culpepper is in very good shape, but he needs more polish, as does Stafford.
