Fans hoping for somewhere to crash in Las Vegas ahead of the fight between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao will have to cross the MGM Grand off their list of prospective hotels.

According to USA Today's Martin Rogers, the hotel that's hosting the highly anticipated bout was completely booked up inside of 15 minutes after Mayweather officially announced he'll take on Pacquiao.

Rogers added that once it became clear Mayweather vs. Pacquiao was in the offing, increased demand for rooms inside the MGM Grand caused rates to soar to $615 a night for May 1 and May 2, which is the weekend of the fight.

CBSSports.com's Gary Parrish didn't find the news all that surprising:

The MGM Grand Garden Arena only seats 16,800, but that won't stop thousands of fans who won't be attending the event from traveling to Vegas to at least bask in the atmosphere surrounding Mayweather vs. Pacquiao.
