Todd Gurley: Latest News, Rumors and Speculation on RB's NFL Draft Stock

Running back Todd Gurley is one of the key players to watch in the 2015 NFL draft. He has a world of potential, but a torn ACL last year at Georgia left his NFL stock up in the air.
Heading into the draft, Gurley is projected as a first-round lock and has visited teams such as the Lions, the Panthers, the Jaguars, the Browns and the Patriots.

Multiple Teams Rumored to be Interested in Gurley
Thursday, April 30
The San Francisco 49ers have been added to the list of teams that are interested in Gurley, reported Dianna Marie Russini of NBC 4 in DC.
On Monday 27, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported that the Dolphins, Jaguars and Texans are among the potential landing spots for Gurley. Regarding the Texans, Rapoport added, "Houston could add to Arian Foster there."
Gurley Could Be Top 10 Pick, Not Expected to Fall Out of Top 20

"Now seems unlikely Todd Gurley gets out of the Top 20. Making calls over the weekend, heard CLE (12), MIA (14), SD (17) connected to him," reported Albert Breer of NFL.com.
Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reported on the Dolphins' interest in Gurley on April 16: "Heard again today that Dolphins doing a LOT of research, interviews on Todd Gurley & people close to him. They are unquestionably intrigued."
On April 22, Yahoo Sports' Charles Robinson reported that Gurley could be drafted somewhere between the sixth and 10th overall pick in the draft.
Bleacher Report NFL analyst Chris Simms discussed his thoughts on Gurley going in the top 10:
Michael Girardi of Comcast SportsNet New England reported multiple talent evaluators agree Gurley is a "top 3 talent in this draft."
NFL Network's LaDanian Tomlinson said he thinks Gurley is the best running back prospect since Adrian Peterson, according to Bryan Fischer of NFL.com:
"My No. 1 running back is Todd Gurley. This guy combines the size and the skill set to get it done in the National Football League," Tomlinson said on NFL Network's "Path to the Draft". " ... I love to see a big man like this with the combination of size, strength, speed, and vision.
"I'll tell you what, he is the best prospect we've probably had (at running back) since Adrian Peterson."
Gurley Reportedly Has 'Great Shot' to Play Week 1

Breer revealed that Gurley's medical recheck at the combine showed positive results: "Checked in with sources from 5 teams today on Georgia RB Todd Gurley's combine recheck info. Unanimous: Gurley has great shot to play Wk 1."
Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk reported on April 13 that Gurley would go to Indianapolis that upcoming weekend to undergo a medical recheck. Alper provided his take on what the results could mean for Gurley's draft stock:
If the news is good, Gurley’s already strong chances of being the first running back off the board should improve because teams will obviously have more confidence that he'll hit the ground running during his rookie season. A less positive report could leave teams wondering if Gurley will have to start the year on the PUP list and could lead them to consider safer options despite the high ceiling Gurley's college exploits put on his pro potential.
