Arsene Wenger's boys have been written off before the start of the season by the press and the media all around the globe.

But today, the Gunners have sent a warning message that is loud and clear, and the Gunners are now first in the table with a goal difference of +5.

The Gunners weren't exactly at their best at the start of the match, but slowly the tides began to turn, and the Gunners were in control.

The first goal came through Denilson in the 26th minute, Fabregas passed the ball to Denilson, who's hammered it in the back of the top left corner of the net.

Later on, Fellaini almost equalised with a header from a corner, but Denilson saved it brilliantly off the line, three minutes later the Gunners scored from a foul through new signing Thomas Vermaelen, who had a brilliant debut match, Van Persie saw Vermaelen and passed it beautifully to the Belgian who made no mistake converting it in the back of the net.

Arsenal then scored right before the interval from another foul through former captain William Gallas, who was solid throughout most of the game.

Right after the beginning of the second half, Arsenal scored a fourth through their young Captain, Cesc Fabregas, who right after scoring the goal celebrated by pointing towards heaven in memory of his compatriot Daniel Jarque, the former Espanyol captain.

However, Fabregas wasn't finished yet, he then scored his second, and a fifth for Arsenal through a brilliant solo effort and then fired it in the low left corner of Tim Howard's net.

Fabregas then celebrated by running towards the Arsenal bench and taking an Arsenal shirt with the number 21 and Jarque's name on the back of it.

By now, Arsenal were cruising, and Wenger made a substitution in the shape of Eduardo and Ramsey, while Van Persie and Fabregas were the ones to leave the match.

In the 89th minute, Eduardo scored his first premier league goal in almost two years, making all the Everton fans who stayed regret their decision even more.

However, the Gunners lost their chances in having a cleansheet in the second minute of extra time, when Pienaar shot a ball that got deflected by Almunia and went to Saha, who converted it in the back of an empty net.

The game ended by the score of 1-6 to the Red and White Army, who have sent a message to all the other teams in the league.

The Gunners are now the first in the table through a goal difference of +5.
