Jon Lester of the Boston Red Sox is in peak form right now, and he already owns one masterpiece vs. these Texas Rangers this season.

Lester now has nine Quality Starts in his last 10 outings, including allowing a grand total of two runs and just eight hits in his last two starts with 17 strikeouts in 13 innings. In that first start against Texas this season, Lester tossed a Complete Game two-hitter, allowing one run while recording 11 strikeouts. That marked the fourth time in as many career starts vs. Texas that Lester has allowed three runs or less.

Now granted, Kevin Millwood has been the Rangers ace this year, but keep in mind that this is his second start since missing some time with an injury, and the second start back is always the toughest. Given the raging form that Lester is in, Millwood would need to be on top of his game to give Texas the best chance to win, and we just do not see that happening tonight, especially since he is not expected to go much beyond six innings.

Besides, he looked rather hittable in his first start back despite allowing only two runs, as he was touched up for nine hits while tossing 101 pitches in six innings. Look for Boston to reach him enough to give Lester a safe win.
