Massive Man United Fan Usain Bolt Tells Puma He'll Never Wear an Arsenal Kit

Sean FayFeb 14, 2015

Usain Bolt is sponsored by Puma, who also manufacture Arsenal's kit, so you think the company would be keen on a bit of cross promotion.

Good luck with that!

Bolt is a massive Manchester United fan and admits he was upset when Puma signed up with their Premier League rivals from London.

Bolt told the Daily Mail: "I was like 'bosses, can we talk about this?' I told them I'm not going to do any shoots with Arsenal kit on. I told them 'don't even ask!'"

The Jamaican sprint legend also talked about how United are playing at the moment and criticised Louis van Gaal's tactics.

"

For me, with teams... if you are going to implement a style I think you first have to work out if a team can handle it. I don’t think this passing method that he has is ever going to work for Manchester United. Unless he changes all the players.

‘He’s trying to break down teams with this passing game, but United is not that team. If we had Giggs and Scholes still both in the middle, then it could be good. Mata is good but he’s too small. Rooney’s good but he plays a bit slow, and as a midfielder you’ve got to really move quickly. Like Hazard or some of the players for Arsenal.

"

Bolt said he would play as a "left-footed winger" if he ever became a professional footballer but said he was put off by the idea of becoming a footballer after a photo shoot with Sergio Aguero.

"I did a shoot with Aguero, in all the kit," he said. "It wasn't even snowing but it was so cold. I was like 'you can’t do this; it’s ridiculous'."
