NBA All-Star Game 2015: East vs. West Jerseys and Top Player Shoes

R. Cory SmithFeb 13, 2015

The 2015 NBA All-Star Game will feature some of the best athletes from around the country and the world. However, not all of the focus will be solely on their play, but also what they're wearing.

No, this isn't the Grammys or the Oscars, but the fashion at the All-Star festivities is always special for the players and their brands. Adidas, Nike and Under Armour will all be featured, with each hoping to resonate with NBA fans.

Still in the middle of an 11-year deal with the NBA, Adidas will once again provide the All-Star jerseys. The shoe brand offered a look at the threads following the initial announcement of the starting lineup:

Love the jerseys? Getting your hands on an official one gets a little pricey.

Darren Rovell of ESPN provides a look at LeBron James' jersey and the hefty price tag:

Similar to the Christmas Day swag, the jerseys will feature the first name of each player in the lineup. With Adidas trying something new, it is looking to increase marketability and reach a younger audience.

No other brand can supply jerseys for the players, so the shoe game has to be strong. That doesn't appear to be an issue this season, with some of the hottest brands supplying players with brand new looks.

Sticking with the Adidas brand first, Damian Lillard has been one of its biggest emerging stars recently. Derrick Rose is still on his comeback trail and Andrew Wiggins is blazing his own trail, but Lillard is a star expected to shine off the bench for the West.

Lillard posted his All-Star shoes that were released on Friday:

Along with Lillard, Jeff Teague will also be repping Adidas. But the marketability of Lillard is growing with each clutch basket, something the brand would love to see on the big stage—again.

As always, Nike also has a slew of players representing the company at the All-Star Game. Between James and Kevin Durant, the brand has the two biggest superstars on the planet. Of course, the need shoes to match their persona.

That's exactly what Nike gave each of its representatives for Sunday. Nike provides a preview of the kicks and other gear sure to fly off the shelves as they are released just before the game:

Nike may be one of the most profitable brands in the game, but Under Armour is rising in the sport. The Baltimore-based brand may not have the numbers like Nike, but it does have one of the brightest young superstars.

Stephen Curry has ascended into stardom over the past several years, but this year has been different. Not only is he lighting it up on the court, but he's a member of the best team at the break and quickly becoming a fan favorite. In fact, he received the most votes for the showcase game this season.

His reward for all of the success was the Curry One, his own shoe that dropped prior to the game. Curry will wear the "Dark Matter" version that was released on Friday, per Under Armour's Instagram account:

Needless to say, there will be a lot more for fans to focus on than just the game being played on the court. Throughout the year, the players build a market that takes center stage in February. On Sunday night, the freshest shoes and jerseys will be featured on the game's hottest players.
