MVP Prediction: Mike and Mike

It is unheard of for two opposing head coaches to split the MVP award, but this is a celebrity game we're talking about. ESPN’s Mike Greenberg and Mike Golic have done a great job hyping the event and should steal the show Friday night with their antics.
The two ESPN morning show hosts won't be alone behind the bench, though. Greenberg will coach alongside New York Knicks star Carmelo Anthony, and Golic will be joined by Knicks superfan Spike Lee.
Greenberg and Golic squared off against each other as coaches in a celebrity softball game for ESPN, and it got serious. When asked about the previous battle, Greenberg told Nina Mandell of USA Today's For the Win:
"The legendary game that we coached against each other was a celebrity softball game at Yankees Stadium and in the bottom of the last inning, his team had a runner on and two outs, down by one and I called for an intentional walk. Maybe the only intentional walk in the history of celebrity softball. And I intentionally walked Wade Boggs to pitch to Kenny Mayne and we won the game.
And Golic was furious with me and the crowd booed me, but I was willing to go that far to win. And they asked me ‘why did you intentionally walk Wade Boggs?’ And I said ‘why were we keeping score? I wanted to win the game.’
"
The head coaches must wait to pick their teams before developing their strategies, but putting together winning groups of athletes and celebrities will also be important. With a unique mix of legitimate athletes and overmatched famous people, the results have the potential to be hilarious depending on how many participants take the game seriously.

With several comedians in the mix and a crowd that is looking to have a good time, Mike and Mike should be able to create enough drama that the crowd will become emotionally invested in the battle.
It would be unfair to make a prediction before the rosters are selected, but Anthony's team has the edge on paper from a game-plan perspective. Golic is no slouch and will help pick an elite team, but Anthony knows basketball and will carry Greenberg to a victory.
