TNA Impact Wrestling: Complete Preview, Rumors, News and More for February 13
Last week’s episode of Impact Wrestling was the annual Lockdown event, and TNA fans are ready to witness the fallout from one of the most important shows of the year for the company.
TNA world heavyweight champion Bobby Lashley joined forces with Team Angle in the Lethal Lockdown match and gave The Beatdown Clan a devastating loss. As a result, there are major questions that must be answered Friday night.
Here is all the vital viewing information for this week’s episode of Impact Wrestling.
Where: The SSE Hydro, Glasgow, Scotland
When: Friday, February 13
Start Time: 9 p.m. ET
Watch: Destination America
The TNA World Heavyweight Championship Scene
The TNA World Heavyweight Championship is the top prize in the company, and unlike the WWE, it is not merely used as a prop. With challengers being determined by a new ranking system that TNA is relying on, the world title feels as important as it should for every major wrestling company.
Friday, Bobby Roode and Austin Aries will go to battle in a one-on-one match for the chance to climb up the rankings. The top-five list unveiled on Unlocked every Saturday morning may not be important to some fans yet, but it will determine the last five participants in a 20-man Gauntlet match next week to determine the new No. 1 contender.
Not only is Roode vs. Aries destined to be a great match Friday night, but the stipulation attached also manages to add legitimate storyline intrigue.
Question on Everybody's Mind: What’s Next for Kurt Angle?
Former world champion Kurt Angle is one of the biggest stars in wrestling history, and TNA should be booking him as a perennial contender for the world title and a main event talent. After defeating The Beatdown Clan at Lockdown, Angle should be climbing into the title chase.
As seen in this week’s rankings, via ImpactWrestling.com, Angle has jumped all the way up to No. 2 overall in the company.
With Angle’s knee holding up to the workload and TNA in need of a top star who can transcend the wrestling business, the hope is that Angle and Lashley begin an entertaining storyline moving forward.
Hype Meter: 5 out of 5 Fighting Champions
Since winning the championship last year, Lashley has been booked as one of the top wrestlers in the world. Billed as The Destroyer, TNA has helped reinvent Lashley as a wrestler and has sold him as a top draw to the hardcore wrestling fans.
Wrestling fans who believe Lashley will just roll over and hand his title off to Angle, Roode, Aries or anyone else are fooling themselves.
The ultimate X-factor in this conversation is The BDC. MVP is still one of the top contenders for the world title and has been great in the ring and on the mic. After taking the loss last Friday, The Beatdown Clan will be out for blood.

The BDC, Jeff Hardy Injury Updates and Potential Surprises
The Beatdown Clan has been one of the best stables in TNA in recent memory. Led by MVP, the group's mouthpiece, the likes of Samoa Joe, Low Ki and Kenny King have formed a dominant group that has run roughshod over Impact Wrestling.
The heel stable was handed a tough loss in the Lethal Lockdown match last week when former ally Lashley turned on The BDC and helped Team Angle pull out the win. MVP and company will not take kindly to Lashley’s actions and will be looking for vengeance.
Question on Everybody's Mind: Will The Revolution Jump Matt Hardy?
One of the most interesting storylines being teased on this week’s episode is Matt Hardy addressing the injury to his brother Jeff. After a wild spot last week that featured James Storm knocking Jeff off the door of the cage, Matt will be looking for answers.
The Revolution has been a force in TNA and has left carnage in its wake. Hardy will want to defend his brother’s honor, but with The Revolution outnumbering him, it will be just a matter of time before Storm and his boys destroy Matt.
Hype Meter: 4 out of 5 Potential Surprises
Anyone who follows Impact Wrestling on Twitter or frequents TNA’s website has seen the news that Drew Galloway (formerly known as Drew McIntyre in WWE) and former Knockouts champion Mickie James made their presences felt at the tapings in Glasgow.
It is unclear if either of these stars will be on this week’s episode of Impact Wrestling, but it should be noted that during Josh Mathews' preview for this week’s show, a video for Galloway played.
Whether Galloway and James appear this week or not, their arrival with the company is the infusion of new talent TNA needs right now. In front of the raucous Glasgow crowd, Friday’s episode is must-watch television.
