WWE Fastlane 2015: Stars Who Have Built Most Momentum on Road to Event

Aaron BowerFeb 10, 2015

WWE Fastlane provides fans with the final opportunity to see developing feuds ahead of WrestleMania 31, and with plenty going on, there are naturally several Superstars coming into the busiest part of the year with some real momentum.

Sure, there are also guys who are struggling a touch ahead of 'Mania, but some of the company's biggest Superstars are starting to up their games at just the right time.

And ironically, one of those is a main event star who has yet to be booked in a match for Fastlane.

Over the last few months, Seth Rollins has been gradually coming more and more into the spotlight and is now on the verge of solidifying himself as the WWE's top heel—if he isn't already.

With his henchman alongside him helping him out wherever possible, Rollins has now built up a great character profile which should continue to grow at Fastlane.

Quite how he'll be booked at the event is unclear. However, it would be a shock if WWE didn't kick off his feud with Randy Orton again, leading to a full babyface turn for Orton. But regardless of whether he's competing or simply just cutting another electrifying promo, Rollins is likely to steal the show all over again at Fastlane.

And further down the card, it's a rarity to discover that there's a tag team with some pretty convincing momentum behind them, too.

Fans will always buy into Cesaro for a number of reasons, but perhaps most notably because of the way his WrestleMania moment last year didn't really materialize into any sort of sustained push. His in-ring ability gets him over, though, and in Tyson Kidd he seems to have found a partner who has helped him regain his prominence on the card.

The two men have been quietly making their way through the ranks in the tag division, and if they compete against The Usos at Fastlane, we could well see new tag champions crowned.

They're on a great little streak of results at the moment, backed up by their latest win on Raw. All that momentum can only be a good thing for Cesaro's career.

Finally, there's a guy who, while never really out of the spotlight, hasn't enjoyed as strong a couple of months as he had previously.

For Bray Wyatt, the next two pay-per-view shows could seriously define his career. An expected match with The Undertaker is looming at WrestleMania 31, leading to a potential confrontation between the two before that at Fastlane.

Supported an incredible showing in the Royal Rumble match last month—when he was inexplicably tossed out like a nobody after a marathon performance—Wyatt has been backing it up on the mic, too.

It will be interesting to see how WWE handle the monster that is Bray Wyatt over the next few weeks. If he continues to move forward as he has done recently, we could have a future world champion on our hands.
