Liverpool Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Vincent Enyeama to Sign for Reds
Liverpool are set to add a new goalkeeper to their ranks in the summer with the capture of experienced African stopper Vincent Enyeama.
Jamie Sanderson of Metro reports Nigerian publication Vanguard believe the 32-year-old player will join the Anfield club in a cut-price £3 million deal from Lille.
Sanderson says Brendan Rodgers has set aside "significant funds" to purchase a new goalkeeper after the previous failures of Simon Mignolet to settle on Merseyside.

Enyeama has represented his country in a hat-trick of World Cup finals and would surely be tempted to try his hand in the Premier League with one of the world's most famous clubs.
Current stopper Mignolet fell out of favour earlier in the campaign and was dropped after a series of poor performances.
But the 26-year-old has since bounced back and posted an impressive set of statistics during his outings.
The Belgian international has recorded nine clean sheets in his 22 EPL appearances this season, per Squawka.com, and the Mirror's football writer Nooruddean Choudry reacted to Squawka's statistics on Mignolet, hinting the player may not be as poor as many of his detractors believe:
Liverpool's fortunes have also recovered in tandem with Mignolet, and the club are currently on top of the Premier League's form guide.
Rodgers also publicly recognised his goalkeeper's contributions after his team's dogged 2-0 win against Aston Villa, with the coach full of nothing but praise for his goalkeeper, per Sky Sports:
"I thought the goalkeeper—what he had to do—was outstanding. Simon Mignolet really grew for me today as a goalkeeper. He was very dominant against some players who are really good in the air, came and took his crosses well, and made two very important saves for us when he was called upon.
"

Mignolet was certainly highly rated before he arrived at Liverpool, but a combination of nerves and a poor defence have severely hindered him.
If Enyeama signs for Liverpool, it is unlikely he will be No. 1, as Mignolet is still essentially the better player. The Super Eagles 'keeper would at least give Rodgers excellent cover and provide the competition the Belgian needs to stay sharp.
Mignolet is not in the class of a David De Gea or Thibaut Courtois, but he deserves more time to establish himself. The problem for Rodgers is his back four, and he needs to address this area before he thinks about a new goalkeeper.

In other Liverpool news, Sami Mokbel and Dominic King of the Mail Online report Raheem Sterling has been offered a sensational new deal with the Reds, but the contract remains unsigned, as a host of clubs watch for developments.
Mokbel says there will be "no shortage of high-profile takers should Sterling's time at Anfield come to an end," with Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain all "monitoring" the situation closely.
Sterling has quickly become Liverpool's most important player, and they will be keen to tie the England international down as soon as possible.
At 20 years old, Rodgers cannot afford to let the player go just yet. His value could explode in years to come—you only have to look at Gareth Bale as a comparable example.
Sterling could become one of the best players in the world, and with Liverpool looking for a way forward without Luis Suarez, the retention of the attacker is of paramount importance.
