
Sidney Crosby Illness: Updates on Penguins Star's Status and Return
By now, Pittsburgh Penguins fans have come to accept that Sidney Crosby could be taken from them at any moment. He played in a total of 99 games between the 2010-11 and 2012-13 seasons.
Those problems reared their ugly head for the 27-year-old center, as he was held out of the Penguins' game against the Bruins on Saturday with an undisclosed illness. However, he was able to return for Sunday's game against Detroit.

Pittsburgh lost a lot of offensive firepower from last year's Metropolitan Division winners, and as a result, more pressure was heaped upon Crosby's shoulders. For the most part, he's been able to stay on the ice and help keep the Penguins in the thick of the Eastern Conference playoff hunt.
