Gay Out vs. Wizards
Monday, March 16
Gay missed the team's game vs. the Washington Wizards with what the team is calling a left patellar tendon strain, and he is also out for Monday's game vs. the Atlanta Hawks, according to Jason Jones of The Sacramento Bee.
Along with the mercurial DeMarcus Cousins, Gay has been one of the more consistent producers and leading scorers this season for the Kings. Despite a rotating cast of coaches, Gay has given the Kings a reliable option off of the wing. He also provided one of the highlights of the team's season, as SportsCenter shared on Twitter:
The Kings are likely to struggle without Gay in the lineup, so the team will be hoping his return is swift. He's a trusted veteran presence and one of the players expected to keep the team on course as the coaching carousal rolls on in Sacramento.
He might provide a few highlight-reel dunks, too.
