Budweiser Pulls Warren Sapp from Advertising Following Arrest for Solicitation

Just days after losing his position with NFL Network, Hall of Fame defensive tackle Warren Sapp has been dealt another blow in the form of being pulled from Budweiser's ad campaign.

According to TMZ.com, Sapp was arrested in Phoenix on Monday for allegedly soliciting and assaulting two prostitutes.

In the wake of the incident, the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers superstar was fired by NFL Network, per NFL.com.

"Warren Sapp's contract has been terminated and he no longer works for NFL Network," said NFL Network spokesman Alex Riethmiller.

TMZ.com is now reporting that Sapp has also been dropped by Budweiser. The seven-time Pro Bowler had previously been featured in a Bud Light commercial, but that ad will no longer air.

"Warren Sapp appeared in one of our television commercials last fall, but he is not currently being featured in any of our advertising," a Budweiser representative said.

One can only assume that Sapp was already regretting his decision after being fired, but the loss of his endorsement opportunity adds even greater insult to injury.

Sapp will always be remembered as one of the all-time great defensive linemen, but his actions on the Monday following Super Bowl XLIX will negatively impact his reputation for a very long time to come.
