Freshmen CB Justin Turner was cleared to play.

Coach Rich Rodriguez said Turner could help immediately.

“He wasn’t here for summer school so he didn’t get as much done in the summer as some of the other freshmen, so he’s going to be a little bit behind,” Rodriguez said. “But he’s a skillful guy and with our lack of depth and the need we have in the secondary, if he can learn quickly, he can help us.”

Players who saw Justin play this summer have said great things.

“He was out there making nice breaks on the ball and everything and interceptions, I’m just glad we get to have him now, that just makes our defense stronger,” said Michigan safety Troy Woolfolk.
