Benitez to Be Boosted by Return of Key Weapon

James was handed a starting position after Real's disappointing Primera Division opener against Sporting Gijon, and he immediately impressed against Real Betis, scoring twice and adding an assist, per WhoScored.com.

The 2014 World Cup hero is expected to enjoy a breakout season in 2015-16, his second with the Spanish giants after a solid first year in Madrid. Indeed, Real looked far more dangerous with him in the side prior to his layoff.

Versatile enough to play as an attacking midfielder or winger, he gives manager Rafael Benitez plenty of options to rotate.

Perhaps more importantly, his movement between the lines and his eye for a pass create opportunities for the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale, so Benitez will welcome his return.
