Sidney Ponson a Free Agent Once Again
Tom DubberkeAug 12, 2009
Sidney Ponson has cleared waivers and been released by the Kansas City Royals. This leads to the question of the hour: is there still one more major league team dumb enough to give him yet another undeserved shot at a professional career at any level of their organization?

I doubt it. At this point, I think the independent A Atlantic League is only summer league where Ponson might get a look.
Ponson has worn out his welcome on seven teams in the last seven seasons. That leaves 23 remaining teams, some of whom might be desparate enough to at least consider giving Ponson a look.
However, you have to figure that eventually major league organizations will collectively realize Ponson has nothing to offer anyone in a professional capacity. Even a cat only has nine lives.
