Why 2009 Could Be The Season For McNabb, Reid, and The Eagles
Donovan McNabb and Andy Reid have been together for 10 years. Together, this duo has seen a lot of accomplishments, as well as many failures.
McNabb and Reid have competed in five NFC championship games, winning just one. Together they battled the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XXXIX where they fell three points short of bringing the franchise their first title. They both went through the joy of having a weapon like Terrell Owens, but they both felt the wrath of the cancer that is T.O.
Donovan McNabb has survived the team drafting what everyone thought was a replacement in Kevin Kolb, and he survived a benching last season. Reid has survived problems on a personal level with his family, and rumors that he would be replaced as head coach.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Also, the team suffered a great lose this offseason with the tragic death of defensive genius Jim Johnson. With effective leadership, which this team has behind Reid and McNabb, this team can rally together.
This offseason was an excellent one for the Eagles. They acquired and gave big money to Jason Peters, a Pro-Bowl left tackle to protect Donovan's blind side.
The draft is where the Eagles grabbed most of the attention. The pick of Jeremy Maclin, who will i contribute from the get go to a young and talented receiver core, was genius. The Eagles also drafted the perfect complement to Brian Westbrook in LeSean McCoy. Both will be toys for Andy Reid and offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg to play with.
The only issue with the Eagles is the defense. With the sad loss of Jim Johnson and the departure of Brian Dawkins, who was the face of this defense, can Sean McDermott the new coordinator take this job and make this defense work?
On the other hand, a positive perspective of the situation is that the secondary will stay strong with faces like Asante Samuel and Sheldon Brown.
It all comes down to the matchup with the NFC east favorites: The Dallas Cowboys. If they can matchup well against the Cowboys and take both games against them, then the Eagles will have the division well in hand.
With this combination of young and veteran talent, this could be the best chance the Eagles have had since 2004. Can McNabb and Reid FINALLY win a championship with this team?
