Best Possible Feuds for Dolph Ziggler on Road to WWE WrestleMania 31

Dolph Ziggler is one of the most talented WWE Superstars on the roster today, but his lack of a major storyline heading into WrestleMania 31 should be alarming for wrestling fans.

Ziggler is an elite in-ring performer, and his work on the mic has been top-notch. While it may be too late to book something major for Fast Lane, the company must develop a memorable storyline for The Showoff at WrestleMania.

Here are the best possible feuds for Ziggler over the next few months.

Ziggler Turns Heel on Daniel Bryan

One of the most intriguing possibilities for Ziggler leading into WrestleMania is a marquee storyline against Daniel Bryan. The two men have teased a possible bout on Twitter:

After being tortured by The Authority for months, Ziggler's giving up and joining Triple H and Stephanie McMahon is a conceivable plot twist. The Authority hates Bryan as well, and one way for Ziggler to make an impact would be to turn heel and cost Bryan a win at Fast lane.

Bryan will take on Roman Reigns with the chance to main event WrestleMania on the line, and Ziggler's costing Bryan the win by attacking him would lead to one of the most entertaining angles in recent memory. The two talented in-ring workers would have five-star matches, but the emotion-filled promos would also be incredible.

Ziggler is one of the most popular stars in the wrestling business today and needs something that will get the fans talking. A heel turn on its own would be huge news, but the fact that it would come against Bryan would make it an instant classic.

The best-case scenario would be a newly heel Ziggler taking on Bryan at WrestleMania.

Ziggler Takes on Seth Rollins and The Authority

If the WWE is set on keeping Ziggler as a top face in the company but will not move him into the WWE Championship scene, a marquee storyline against Seth Rollins would be an excellent consolation prize.

Ziggler has been a target of The Authority for months, and Rollins has been one of the top heels in its regime. After being fired for supporting Team Cena at Survivor Series, the storyline with Triple H should be far from over.

With Triple H tied up against Sting, the next best option is Rollins. Both Ziggler and Rollins are excellent in the ring, and Rollins proved at the Royal Rumble that he can carry his weight against top stars in big moments.

There is little doubt that Rollins will be cashing in the Money in the Bank Briefcase soon, so he needs a high-profile storyline now to keep the fans entertained and to throw them off the scent of a possible WrestleMania cash-in attempt.

A match between Ziggler and Rollins would add depth to the card and ensure hardcore fans would get two of their favorite stars in a feud that mattered. This would be a big deal for both Rollins and Ziggler.

Sheamus Attacks Ziggler on Behalf of The Authority

The overarching feud between Ziggler and The Authority will play a role mo matter who he fights at WrestleMania, and one option not being talked about enough is that of a returning Sheamus turning heel and attacking Ziggler.

Sheamus is a very talented in-ring worker for his size. The matches he and Ziggler would work could be incredible given the proper time, and the allure surrounding Sheamus after he aligns with Triple H would give the story depth. If the fans care about Sheamus again, a feud against Ziggler would be ideal.

As one of the most popular wrestlers on the roster, brutally attacking Ziggler and joining forces with The Authority would make it abundantly clear that Sheamus was the bad guy. It has been far too long since the Irish star had a legitimate character, but he would erase all of those memories with an unforgettable turn and subsequent storyline.

Sheamus and Ziggler have worked together in the past, but with a marquee storyline surrounding them and the WWE Universe truly invested in the outcome, their bout could easily open the pay-per-view.
