NFL Predictions: AFC North

Ben SilvermanAug 12, 2009

As the NFL season approaches, I will predict every division one day at a time.  I hope you enjoy reading this, and use it to prepare yourself for the upcoming season.

                                                                AFC North

1.  SteelersThe defending Super Bowl champs will be be back in first by the end of the year.  Ben Roethlisburger won't be fazed by any off season distraction, and he will have another great year.  The Steelers defense will continue to shut down other offenses.  Look out for week 12 in Baltimore for a great showdown between the Steelers and Ravens.  Record: 13-3

2.  Ravens-  After an 11-5 season last year, look for the Ravens to have another big year.  With a season of experience under his belt, Joe Flacco should continue his success in the NFL.  There are some questions at wide receiver, some of which have been answered by Derek Mason unretiring.  The Mcclain/Mcgahee duo in the back field should provide trouble for opposing defenses.  Record: 12-4

3.  BrownsThe Browns have some serious questions at Quarterback.  Brady Quinn has showed at times that he can play at the NFL level, but Derek Anderson also has had success.  The Browns are hoping that Braylon Edwards can return to his 2007 form.  Jamal Lewis is also a big question at running back.  The fans in the Dawg Pound are gonna have another disappointing year.  Record: 7-9

4.  BengalsGoing into the season, the Bengals have many questions at different positions.  Cedric Benson is not reliable at Running Back.  Chad Ochocinco is an excellent receiver, but besides him, there is no one else.  Plus, you never know what will happen with Ochocinco.  He might miss games with suspensions.  The Bengals defense is one of the worst in the NFL.  Remember to keep up with Chad Ochocinco during halftime on twitter.  Record: 4-12

AFC North MVP:  Ben Roethlisburger (steelers)

AFC North ROY:  Brian Robiskie (Browns)
