The Rickie Lambert-to-Villa rumour seems to be gaining steam. We'll keep you updated
Lambert staying in place
3 p.m.
Further to that Lavezzi (and Ings) speculation, it appears Rickie Lambert has his suitors around the Premier League—but Liverpool have no interest in letting him go. That would certainly suggest that the club are not expecting another striker to arrive today.
"Aston Villa have made an inquiry for Rickie Lambert but Liverpool showing no signs of wanting the forward to leave.

Brendan Rodgers has been speaking today. Per the Daily Star:
"We'll be very quiet.
I said at the beginning of the window, we're looking to keep all the players here.
I am happy with how the team and the squad is developing and I want to see what continue to the end of the season. And we would want to keep all the players here.
"
Lavezzi speculation continues
2 p.m.
Perhaps a bit of desperation on Merseyside, as newspapers scramble for something—anything!—to write about. Rumours of a £14m move for Ezequiel Lavezzi have reared their not-entirely-ugly head once again, but with nothing really to substantiate them right now.
Meanwhile, an outgoing: Sheyi Ojo has joined Wigan on loan. Which is nice for him.

Ings deal still possible?
12 p.m.
While not many deals are expected at Liverpool today, it appears the club are still doing what they can. Times reporter Tony Barrett claims that the club are still in talks with Burnley about Danny Ings, perhaps trying to agree a fee with the club to avoid the need to go to a tribunal when his contract expires in the summer.
Earlier, speculative reports had claimed Ings had signed a pre-contract agreement with Real Sociedad (as per FIFA rules, Ings can talk with foreign clubs now, but not domestic clubs until his contract actually expires). Nothing to substantiate that as yet, however.
Elsewhere, looks like Rickie Lambert will be staying at the club.
Few deals expected involving Liverpool

Looks like outgoings are more likely than any incomings at Melwood on Monday, at least according to local media.
Having Daniel Sturridge back will be like the proverbial new signing, though, so there is that.
Reid deal ruled out by Allardyce
9:45 a.m. GMT
Sam Allardyce has dismissed talk that Winston Reid could leave West Ham on Monday, dashing the hopes of Tottenham, Liverpool and Arsenal (among others).
Per the Daily Mirror, Allardyce said:
"Quite a few clubs have been trying to take some of our squad players away. That is not acceptable in terms of where we are at the minute and that has upset those players because they can probably get longer or bigger contracts elsewhere.
But with the position I am in, they will just have to grin and bear it. They are contracted to this club and while you would like to help them, you can’t.
