Alabama vs. Kentucky: Live Reactions, Analysis, and Recap
Kentucky cruised to an easy 70-55 victory at Rupp Arena tonight. Kentucky had an all-around better performance at just about every position, and the play of Karl-Anthony Towns’ and Willie Cauley-Stein’s perfect night from the field (four of four from the field each) really put the team on another level.
Alabama had another rough performance, shooting 45.9 percent from the field and turning over the ball 13 times, which continues a stretch of games with poor ball handling. However, the play of Levi Randolph was a strong positive for Alabama going forward.

Kentucky quickly jumped ahead, and stayed ahead for the rest of the game, never letting their lead slipped below 10 points after halftime. They shot 59 percent from the field, a season best, and that was the primary reason they ousted Alabama.
Alabama once again had issues with turnovers, but just couldn’t drive on Kentucky or find a way to score, really. The second half was a definite improvement for the Crimson Tide, but they still could not ever bring the game in striking distance.
Kentucky (21-0) hosts Georgia next, which will be one of the toughest games they’ll have all season. Alabama (13-8) will come back to Tuscaloosa to face Missouri in what will be a crucial game if the Crimson Tide wish to turn around the season.
