Will One Hail Mary Save Brady Quinn's Career?
In the aftermath of Brady Quinn Glorious Hail Mary pass that somehow landed in the hands of Lance Leggett for a TD, news came of Brady Quinn's crashing down to earth:
Steve Doerschuk reports:
The offense is working an awful lott on slant passes, and the defense was all over one that made Brady Quinn look bad on a play late in the evening session.
In shorts, during 11-on-11s, Quinn fired over the middle to Braylon Edwards.
Eric Wright jumped it, picked it, and seemed to be enjoying himself as he ran to the end zone.
A bit before that quick read, a buddy and I were conversing about whether Quinn is overly analytical, too often, causing him to miss good options early in a progression because he likes to read the whole menu.
The pick-6 followed a morning session on which Edwards “scored” on a slant-turned catch-and-run, with Derek Anderson on the trigger.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Seems like Mangenius likes a bunch of Einsteins on his squad that cannot run, pass or block. At least they are all academic All-Americans !!
Now there are millions and millions of wannabe in the whole of the US who can throw a 60 yard pass, but none of them are in the NFL either !
A readers comment:
Holy Cow! Why weren't quinn's interceptions from yesterday reported on here? He got picked off left and right! DA throws one pick in any practice and that is half the article. The other half is about how great quinn sounded talking in the huddle and his huddle presence and how the job should be his!
So much for the great ole noodle arm! Had all the noodlemaniac's fairy tales been true about how great he is and how bad DA stinks - the limp armed one should have already ran away with this thing!
On the other hand Derek Anderson is no better:
- There were plenty of punishment laps again in the late session, with Anderson doing one in the late going after a false start that came shortly after he missed Edwards on a full-throttle deep throw.,
Anderson was really chugging on the lap, which adds to my impression he’s really taking his run at the job seriously, while maintaining his role as a jokester.
Maybe we can get Laura Quinn to start for the Clowns, noodle arm notwithstanding, it would be great to see a bit of cheerleading in the midst if utter frustration and despair in Clownstown.
Not only that but at least Laura knows to open her eyes for a "peek" at where she would be throwing ......the Family Jewel, errhmm Lombardi.
