Houston Texans Star J.J. Watt to Train in Log Cabin in the 'Middle of Nowhere'
January 30, 2015
Some professional athletes splurge on lavish houses when they sign monster contracts. As for Houston Texans star J.J. Watt, he buys a log cabin. For training purposes.
According to the Houston Chronicle's Brian T. Smith, Watt recently bought a log cabin in the "middle of nowhere" up in Wisconsin. It will be a place he can go in order to focus on football.
Update from Monday, March 2
Pictures of Watt's cabin have surfaced, and it's not quite as "minimalistic" as it was originally made out to be.

"It's really minimalistic," Watt said. "The only thing I have to focus on is training and that's the way I like it. There's no frills, there's nothing to distract you up here."
As of now, there's really not much there for Watt to do.
"It's just an empty space and a log cabin and snow," Watt said.
Smith reported that Watt does plan to build a gym in the cabin's barn, which will help him train.
Does Watt buying a cabin in Wisconsin really surprise anyone? It shouldn't. This is the same guy who had to Google "what rich people buy" after signing a six-year, $100 million extension last year. He's not going to waste money on things that will distract him from realizing his potential on the football field.
He's coming off an MVP-caliber season and is still focused on getting better. This 25-year-old is committed to his craft.
As for what Watt's training could look like, it could resemble something you'd see in Rocky IV:
