Pro Wrestler Mick Foley Disqualified for Cheating at Wing Bowl

Retired wrestler Mick Foley's day at Wing Bowl 23 was ruined by a cheating scandal. And it involved a fanny pack.

"Mankind" was disqualified after getting busted for throwing uneaten chicken wings into his fanny pack. There is both video (via Nick Piccone) and photo evidence of the move:

The 49-year-old Foley fessed up to breaking the rules:

Foley explained why he did it, per The Associated Press, via NBC Sports.

"I didn't want that [getting sick] to be my legacy," Mankind said. "So I stretched the rules. I thought people would appreciate that, right here in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania!"

Patrick Bertoletti of Chicago won the contest by eating a Wing Bowl-record 444 wings in 26 minutes.
