The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports Blount was ordered to complete the community service before Feb. 4 after marijuana was found by police during a traffic stop also involving former teammate Le'Veon Bell on Aug. 20. He did the work with Urban Achievers in Boston.
According to The Associated Press (via ESPNBoston.com), Blount's attorney, Casey White, said his client could still face discipline from the NFL regarding the case.
Blount was released by the Steelers after he left the team's Week 11 game against the Tennessee Titans early. He signed with the Patriots several days later.
The powerful back, who played with New England last season, ran for 281 yards and scored three touchdowns over the season's final five games. He's added three more scores in the team's two postseason victories.
He'll likely lead the team's rushing attack once again in the Super Bowl clash with the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.
