R. Cory SmithJan 30, 2015

On Sunday, there will be numerous reasons to tune into Super Bowl XLIX. Sure, the matchup between the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots is great, but bettors have more on the line than simply the outcome of the game.

Those looking to place wagers on the big game will be focusing on the spread and over/under line, but the real money is in picking smart prop bets. Bettors have waited all season to get in on the crazy bets, and it's finally time to cash in.

Before the 2015 Super Bowl kicks off on Sunday, here's a look at the game information, the prop bets and one line that looks promising.

How Many Touchdowns Will Be Scored in the Game? Over/Under 5.5

During the postseason, both teams have been prolific offensively. Between the AFC championship and divisional round, the Patriots combined for 11 touchdowns. The Seahawks, on the other hand, have reached the end zone four times in each of their two playoff games.

Let's just say the two franchises are familiar with paydirt.

Seattle's passing game might not be as potent as the Patriots', but their ground attack more than makes up for it. With Marshawn Lynch and Russell Wilson leading the way, the Seahawks can run over nearly any opponent. ESPN Stats & Info notes just how reliable Lynch is in the playoffs:

Lynch will have to compete with a defense that ranked ninth in the NFL in rushing yards allowed. However, his bruising style can wear down New England and leave room for Wilson to thrive on the ground.

On the Patriots side, they have a powerful running back of their own in LeGarrette Blount. After starting the season with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Blount has been a great comeback story for the Pats—again. His three touchdowns against the Indianapolis Colts prove he has a nose for the end zone.

Blount may be explosive, but the weapons through the air are the story for New England. Equipped with Rob Gronkowski, Brandon LaFell and Julian Edelman, Tom Brady has a lethal arsenal around him.

As Pro Football on ESPN notes, Gronkowski might be the best weapon for the Pats:

The two teams match up well against one another, making this a difficult game to predict. But with the over/under for touchdowns set at 5.5, taking the over seems like an obvious choice for prop bettors.
