Paige vs. Nikki Bella Announced for WWE Fast Lane 2015 PPV

After not putting her title on the line at the 2015 Royal Rumble, Nikki Bella will defend the WWE Divas Championship at Fast Lane.

WWE announced on Thursday night that her opponent will be Paige for the Feb. 22 pay-per-view:

Paige has been feuding with the Bella Twins for the last month and change and partnered with Natalya in what was a tag team defeat at the Royal Rumble. On SmackDown, the Bellas took the rivalry to the next level, insulting and then attacking Paige during a backstage interview.

Scott Fishman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel was a bit disappointed that WWE used what is a tired trope to spark a Divas rivalry:

Although the jumping-off point isn't the best, the end product could be very good. Nikki Bella has grown by leaps and bounds in the ring over the last year or so while Paige is among the most talented Divas on the roster. She only improves with each show.

If the two can get enough time on the card, they're more than capable of putting together a solid match and potentially setting something up for WrestleMania, which is two months away.
