Breaking Down the Festivities
All jokes aside, the Puppy Bowl is a fun way to spend the early portion of Super Bowl Sunday. There are only so many ways analysts can break down the New England Patriots vs. the Seattle Seahawks, and a temporary reprieve is what everyone needs.
The Puppy Bowl is all that and more.
Not only will this be the first year Animal Planet breaks the puppies into two different teams competing against each other, but the company’s website has also developed a special fantasy Puppy Bowl game so fans can play along at home, found here.
And no, I’m not making this up.
As seen from the lineups for Team Ruff and Team Fluff, this is one of the deepest Puppy Bowls in history. While the individual competition was entertaining, the chemistry these dogs find will be imperative to their success.
While it is abundantly clear that Team Fluff has the depth needed to contend throughout the game, Team Ruff’s star power, including Bryan Adams (Labrador Retriever mix), Titan (American Bulldog) and the heavy-hitter Pudge (Chihuahua mix) will give the squad the victory.
If you’re making a wager on the game, let it ride with Team Ruff with confidence.
As for the halftime entertainment, the NFL booked pop singer Katy Perry to rock the stadium for its game, but the Puppy Bowl was not to be outdone. According to the Animal Planet website, the Bissell Kitten Halftime Show will take place again this year, headlined by Katty Furry.
If you don’t at least tune in for a few minutes, you will miss out on one of the cutest and most precious matchups you’ll see all year.
